I usually combine these two challenges because they both have to be entered by Sunday evening. I had planned to try adding another “Technique” challenge but it didn’t fit in with the Mojo Monday sketch. Perhaps next time…
Theses were the images for the two challenges:
Oh, how I would have loved to have been able to capture that see-through quality of the drinks with the ice cubes in them and the ethereal quality of the flowers! The Shabby Tea Room is at theshabbytearoom.blogspot.com and they never fail to have wonderfully inspiring photos for their color challenges.
At any rate, I used three shades of pink Bazzill card stock for the front and Paper Company papers for the mats. The leaves were touched with Distress Peeled Paint; the sentiment was done with VersaMagic Pink Petunia. The leaves around the flower were made with a Martha Steward Punch and the ones to the side were done with a Sizzix Sizzlets Die. My doily was two Spellbinder’s Ironworks Motif cuts layered together and the cup was from the Spellbinder’s Nested Tea Cups die. My pink sparkly steam arising from the cup was bling from Recollections and the bubbly cocoa layer was made with another Martha Stewart Punch. I ran the paper for the cup through my Big Kick machine with a Cricut Polka Dot embossing folder before cutting the cup out and then topped each dot with Ranger Icicle Stickles. The satin-edged organza flower was a gift from one of my suppliers and the center flower was from I Am Roses, also a gift!
This bubbly, steamy beverage doesn’t exactly say “summer” but I wanted that tea-cup die so desperately and have had it for six months without ever using it!! It seemed like now or never…
While you’re here, please leave a comment. You know I LOVE it!! Blessings & Hugs, ya’ll !

Charlotte, first of all, thanks for leaving such a sweet comment on my blog. Second, your card is gorgeous. Third, you DO NOT fit the ‘Great-grandmother’ image at all, girlfriend. Wow.
