Hannah’s Words to Live By….

One day I told my granddaughter, Hannah, that I wanted to leave behind, as a gift from me, some words to live by that I thought were very important for her to remember.  Those words are shown on the back of this altered bird house.  Click on any photo and you will get an enlarged version.

For the rest I used some phrases I knew she liked and would add to the meaning of my own words of wisdom for her.  There is actually another roof piece that fits on top of the one shown here with four more quotes.  They are lengthy and hard to read from pictures but Hannah will find them as guides to enjoy the journey in several ways.

I used a BoBunny paper pad that I love and have hoarded for almost a year and the metal watch piece from Michael’s.  All the rest are bits and pieces from my stash layered on and blinged up.  There is even a little metal mailbox charm with a note to Hannah with love from her grandma, me.  I had to put a little piece of string on it so she could get it in and out of the tiny mailbox.

Enjoy the pictures and leave me a comment!  I love to hear from you!

You’ve done it again my clever friend. So adorable! Hannah is a lucky girl.

    • Thank you! She tried to take it home the other day and I had to grab it because I wasn’t finished yet. I think she really likes it… she does have a bit of a “craft-y” heart like her grandma.

    • Yes, you did see them at Michaels… Now I am looking for the tiny picanic basket (as Yogi would say) a lady had on one of the websites I visited during a blog hop and she said that was where she got it. Check around, & let me know, O.K?
