This is the card I designed for the I Brake For Stamps Challenge entitled “Unlock the Imagination”. This week’s challenge is backgrounds.
The background I decided to use is based on a video tutorial by Susan Rothamel Pickering. The cardstock is embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder, the raised portions have an application of USArtQuest Duo Embellishing Adhesive and, when dry, bits of metal foiling (also USArtQuest) is brushed onto the adhesive coated raised areas.
Paper for this project was from the Tradewinds matstack by DCWV and black cardstock. The door stamp is from I Brake For Stamps. The keyhole was made with the Hardware Findings die from Tim Holtz Alterations. Also used were Ranger Glossy Accents and Ranger Black Diamond Stickles, Spare Parts by Paper Studio brads and the key & lock charms were from Explorer by Traditions.
Realizing that I know nothing about what it is you’re doing, please also realize that I certainly recognize beauty when I behold it and these items abound with rich beauty…..textures, colors, patterns, organization. Yours is a world that is foreign to me, so I’ll enjoy as I flip through your items.
I LOVE this card. It is so beautiful.
Anie, how sweet of you to check my site! Thank you for the compliment… I consider you a person of great style, so it means a lot to me.
