This is a birthday tag I made for my oldest daughter’s birthday. I have said that the Graphic 45 paper collections are my favorite and among their collections is this gorgeous one called A Ladies Diary. If you click on the images here, you will get a larger view.
My daughter seems to like these tag-type cards because she keeps them hanging up as permanent decorations! There is a Valentine’s Day tag that I will cover in another post that hangs next to this one in her kitchen window.
I’m glad they are there to remind her that I love her whenever she notices them.
She has always been a loyal and thoughtful daughter and has given me two terrific grandchildren and one all-boy great-grandson. Such riches!
Also included here is a view of the tag with two little tags that tuck behind the stylish lady. One is for a photo and the other has my best wishes for her birthday on the back.
The next view is of the back of the tag and shows another stylish lady and a little poem embellishment, as well as the banner from the collection that says, “Style is a simple way of saying complicated things”.
Almost everything is from the A Ladies Diary collection, including the fussy cut bits; one of the beauties of Graphic 45 paper pads. The jewels and feather were from my stash, probably Hobby Lobby purchases, and the marvelously appropriate poem is an epoxy sticker from Cloud 9 Design. I feathered over each paper piece with Tim Holtz Distress Ink and made the loop and bow with seam binding.
I hope you will find this inspiring and look forward to hearing from you. Blessings and Hugs, ya’ll !!
Tags are something I have never explored. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.
My pleasure!
I love it! Especially the stuff flowing out of the hat. Susan
Charlotte…I don’t know how you do it…but you hit another one out of the park..This is beautiful! Am so glad your daughter keeps your work hanging year round….Each work of art is much too special to tuck away out of sight.
Aw, shucks, Dana… you made me blush!! Thank you!
A touch of the miniaturist never hurts!! Thanks, SP.
