I have been attempting to do the kind of layering in my cards that I see in some of my favorite designers cards; like Becca Feeken and Andrea Ewen.
I love the Spellbinders dies for their intricacy and layerability so I have used four die cuts for the center medallion on this card as well as three layers of the background papers. I really have to think about it a lot and review some of my favorite designers creations before starting. Hopefully, it will become second nature as it seems to be for them!
Besides the Spellbinders Dies, I have used a Prima Flower, a Webster’s Pages Cameo Pin, a rayon seam binding bow and a triple pearl pin that I do not know the name of . Perhaps my friend, Milu, from whom I buy these pearl pins can comment and tell me where they come from. The stamp is a Verve stamp with a quote from Georgia O’Keefe. The ink that matched the background paper perfectly doesn’t show up well on camera. I hope you can read it. Remember, if you click on the photo, you will get a larger view.
I hope to hear from my subbies; I always appreciate you comments!!
Love the various shades of blue. Of course your favorite thoughts are sweet – mine go more to the “chewing through the leather straps” side. LOL
Well, I do have a few of those too… Thanks for the compliment. Hope to see you soon!
You are a good friend,a caring woman and a talented crafter!
The Lord has blessed you and you have blessed me!
The teal color card and the seam binding make it so sophisticated!
love

What a sweet comment, Milu! It is good to have you for a friend and fellow crafter… it was a great day when I decided to shop in your Ebay store!
This is so lovely. Love the little cameo, and the background. Lucky Pat! Beautiful work Sis!
I’ll have to save one of those pins for you! I fell in love with that paper at the discount scrapbooking shop… I think you might have been with me at the time. As with so many of our great finds, we tend to hoard them. Making something for a special friend is when they usually get pulled out, right?
Exactly. 🙂
