Halloween Colors In The Romantic Style – MOJO 210 – PDCC 102

I have 3 challenges going on today.  One for Mojo Monday, one for The Play Date Cafe and one for my niece’s birthday card. I tried to combine them all and a little photo gallery will help you see how this card came about.

I had the challenges from Mojo Monday (mojomonday.blogspot.com) and from The Play Date Cafe (theplaydatecafe.blogspot.com) to consider.

Still waiting for a proper light box.  Guess I’m going to have to figure this out with the help of the Becca Feeken Tutorial about light boxes rather than my DH.  And I did flip the image because it balanced better that way since I replaced the message box with flowers and leaves.

This is my niece on the cover of Wedding Day Magazine.  She won a competition to get on the cover and there is a complete layout of her in a “mock wedding”.  There weren’t any prizes, just the opportunity to be on the cover and have the lead spread in the magazine.  She has never done any modeling or anything that would have prepared her for this competition but she wanted it as a part of her memories for her actual wedding at the Chapel at Notre Dame.  A photo of Amanda and Adam at their wedding shown below.

All in all, a tricky bit of business.  Mostly because I was trying to use these “wicked” colors to make a lovely card for a lovely girl.  I hope she will like it…  Let me hear from you as well.  Knowing that you have taken the time to comment to me, inspires me.  Thank you.

This card is so beautiful! And that is so neat about your niece–I’m sure there was no one more deserving! Happy stamping! 🙂

    • Thank you! If you check further on my website you will see the Victorian Shoe Album that I made for their wedding gift. It only has four pages but is intended for pictures of the happy couple as little children with one spot for a wedding picture. You know how folks debate whether a baby looks more like the mom or the dad. I thought it would be cool to have the photos for comparison in one little album when they start a family.

I also have a technical question for you. Do I have to write out the whole web address in my blog post when doing a challenge or does having the blinkie on the sidebar take care of referencing back to the challenge blog site?

Ah, love me a romantic card! The addition of the flowers, the beautiful background papers and the lovely cord accent all come together fabulously, Charlotte! I was thinking of you today when I was reaching for some Recollections black pearls..they were perfect for my project…thanks again, my sweet!

    • Thank you for the encouragement! BTW, they have the pearls that are actually on strips at Hobby Lobby this week for 40% off the regular price of $2.99. They have two sizes and they also have strips of crystals in two sizes and several colors. Reach me at my regular email if you would like me to act as your buying agent and scoop some up for you. gotchaz45@gmail.com
