My great-grandson, Aiden, is two now and has just started Nursery School. His momma is so happy for him to have that time with playmates (and to have that time for a breather for her). I can relate… I spent a lot of time with Aiden’s daddy when he was the same age and they are very much alike. Always going and always doing… who knows where or what!
His mother did share the fact that his initial response to the whole “school” thing was not entirely positive. Being the gregarious boy that he is, I doubt that will last long. By now he is probably running to the classroom door and leaving his mamma in his wake!
When his grandma (my oldest daughter) has him for an overnight visit, she usually invites me over so we can tag-team “watch” him. I have noticed that if you hand him something, his first inclination is to toss it like a football… just like his dad did at that age. He isn’t just giving it a throw but making a full arm swing. And, he is so overjoyed by the whole process!! Big smile; bubbly laugh… happy, happy boy!
To celebrate this new dimension … school… to his life, I made this card and sent it to him. His dad, my grandson, sent me a photo of Aiden examining the card and pulling the tag out. I like to add little things that kids can interact with on cards for the little ones. It is always a hit!
Like the card for my granddaughter in my post just previous to this one, I have used Graphic 45 papers for everything except the ribbon. Their papers include tags, word blocks, backgrounds, borders… all that you need to put together your card (and everything in a collection will automatically be color matched).
I hope you like this as much as I enjoyed doing it for the next generation of “boy” in our family. I had missed the time I had with my grandson when he was a little one and find it a great blessing to have it come back around with his son. Life truly is … good.
I look forward to hearing from you. Blessings and Hugs, ya’ll…
