Through my searches on Ebay for crafting materials, I came across the loveliest lady, named Milu, who has a shop there (Miluscrapbooking). We email, facebook and talk on the phone. We have celebrated birthdays and holidays together; even tragedies and concerns.
Now, Facebook tells me her birthday is Saturday. I had a gift all packaged for her and ready to go but something nagged me about it and I had to pull it out and revise it. I want it to be really nice for my friend. It is a hanging stick pin cushion fashioned after a Becca Feeken design.
She purchased my first item from my website for a gift for her mother and also the kit to make her own version of my Victorian Shoe. (I bet she still has the unmade kit; she is a very busy lady with an at-home business and a very young daughter. Maybe, someday she will show me a gorgeous version of that shoe…)
She was the one who originally introduced me to Amazing Paper Grace, Becca Feeken’s site, which has become my all-time favorite designer blog. Another amazing woman added to the list of internet friends.
I had never heard of Cheery Lynn Dies until Milu told me about them. Now I own a few of them and they are among my most treasured crafting tools. Absolutely gorgeous stuff!
One of my most popular selling cards was inspired by another site Milu introduced me to, Viva Las Vegas Stamps. She said, “Put this blinkie on your site and you will get a bag of free stamps!” I did and they did. You may have noticed their blinkie at the bottom of my page. One of the free stamps has been part of a very successful design for me!
So you see, the girl has really been instrumental in getting me going in the right direction with my paper crafting mania. Happy, Happy Birthday, Milu. Blessings & Hugs to you!!
I had to read this again today, and it put a smile in my face…=)
Yes!! I had to take a peek at the date on the post so I’d know not to miss your birthday next time!
