Groovy Drew V – MOJO 232

Facebook is surely a wonderful thing…  I have reconnected with several pals from the past through this form of communication.  One of whom had a birthday this past Monday.  This brought about my First Facebook Complaint.

FB thoughtfully reminded me of the friend’s birthday; I depend on them for this information.  They always let me know whose birthday is coming the next week.  Of course, when they tell you on Sunday that a friend is having a birthday on Monday… uh, not so good, FB.

Whose scheduling idea was this?  Probably some anti-real-birthday-card-you-can-hold-in-your-hand activist slyly pulling Facebook onto their political platform!

Hence the birth of my first Belated Birthday Card.  May there never be a need for another!

Far more dependable are my good friends at Mojo Monday who provided me with the sketch to cut down on the thinking I had to do.  This is their sketch for this week:

My recipe for this card is as follows:  Papers – Creative Imaginations, Bazzill Basics,  Stamps – Michael’s $1 bin, Studio G    Inks – Distress Inks in Forest Moss, Brushed Corduroy and Tea Dye, Stampabilities Silver    Tools – Fiskars paper cutters, Tim Holtz Paper Distresser, AdTech Dot Glue Runner, Ranger Glossy Accents, Aileen’s Tacky Glue, Ranger’s Rock Candy Distress Stickles, ArtMinds Foam Mounting Tape    Embellishments – Celebrate It Silver Ribbon, Making Memories Tag, Colorbok Metal Squares, macrame cord and cardboard letter “D” from my stash

I love to hear from you!  Blessings and Hugs to all…

About Charlotte Zweigoron

Married, retired, never been so busy..! One of my most prized possessions is my very own craft room! And, actually, all the rest of our home is built around that craft room. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. I have been living in Georgia for over thirty-five years after a four year stint in Chicago. Crafting, reading and playing Mah Jongg with our circle of friends are my favorite activities right after spending time with my four grandchildren and four great-grandsons. Two of my three grown daughters and one of my two grandgirls live right across the yard from my husband and I. The youngest daughter, her husband, and our grandpups live in our same town. I have been teaching a paper crafting class for over three years and the ladies in the group have become a second family. We are well and truly blessed with people and critters to love..!

  2. Well, what a day! You don’t know this but you are one of my top few (3) favorite designers!! And who has to straighten out my Mojo Mess? Ms. Teresa Kline. Whoda thunk it?!?

  3. Dana Braun says:

Absolutely agree with your comments about the conspiracy of doing away with handheld greetings…of any kind. Too many people losing jobs as a result of the ‘paperless’ environment we’re creating. Bring on the cards…YOUR CARDS !

  4. I agree. If we have to give up something, how about the mind-numbing layers of packaging. I would be willing to give up paper towels but not TP! I don’t mind giving up newspapers and magazines; they wind up in the trash anyway. But I don’t really want to give up the feel of a book in my hands. I know we need more, not less, trees. I am reminded of the song phrase “They pave paradise to put up a parking lot…” We should be smart enough to know how to manage all this. Of course, smarts isn’t what’s lacking when greed is on the loose. Ah, well, the bamboo world is on the move to fill in the gap. Just don’t touch my craft paper!!!
