Lavender & Blue Dilly Dilly – VLVAUG2011

Having been introduced to some new challenges, this is my take on the challenge put up by Viva La Verve.  I was excited to do this because I had just bought my very first digital paper from Websters Pages (Post Cards). Another revelation in the art of papercrafting!   Continue reading

My Georgia Peach – PDCC#92 & MFTWSC30

I have found a new site to add to my favorites.  Adding to the list of my sources of inspiration is Andrea Ewen (www.ewenstyle.com) and I love her style.  Her website has also introduced me to a couple of new challenges and I couldn’t resist combining them in one card.   Continue reading

Mojo Monday – MOJO201

My Mojo Monday project is actually the cover of one of the 3 inch x 3 inch mini albums I am making for a Christmas Craft Bazaar here in Atlanta.  This little album will be filled with vintage Christmas images, photo mats and pull outs, lots of fibers and charms.  I love mini albums!
I used elements from Tim Holtz Seasonal Paper: the sheet music (It Came Upon A Midnight Clear) mounted on green paper was crumpled and highlighted with Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy and the hang tag (Christmas Greetings) which I embossed with Ranger Crackle Accents was also rubbed with Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy.   Continue reading

Life Is A Journey – MOJO200

I don’t normally make three cards for Mojo Monday but there is a prize at stake and I needed a masculine birthday card!  It all added up to the card shown above made for a man in the technical world.

I used almost exclusively Tim Holtz/Ranger products, scraps from old projects and the Michael’s $1.00 bin stamp.  Please excuse the flower frog at the bottom that I used to keep the card steady in the wind!

Hope you have a pleasant Sunday.   We are off to a Double Birthday Bash!!

Snowflakes in July – MOJO200

I thought I was going to do two cards for Mojo Monday; one for my daughter and one for her brother-in-law.

Well, that was before I got my new Cheery Lynn dies!  I had to make another girly card right away!     Continue reading

Mojo Monday – MOJO200

I was trying to wake up this morning; fuzzy-headed and not quite up to putting my feet on the floor.  Then, suddenly, I realized it was Monday…  Mojo Monday!

I was awake in a snap and heading to turn on the computer.

Steampunk Mini Album

I created this highly embellished Steampunk Album in the Tim Holtz style.

It has a cover plus five pages, three with pockets and pull-outs for a total of ten photo mats and three to five other spots for either photos or journaling! Charms, fibers and inter-active bits abound!

Mojo Monday – MOJO199

Birthday Gear

Having realized that it is Mojo Monday and I want to enter a card, I also realized that we have a guy friend with a birthday this week!  What luck!

Now I have a double incentive for this card.  The M in the corner is the gentleman’s initial.  I flip-flopped the position of the round elements from the design.

This is almost 100% Tim Holtz:  the Alterations Gadget Gear die, the Alterations Scallops and Postage border dies, the Distress Stickles in Rock Candy and Antique Bronze, Distress Crackle Paint in Tarnished Brass,  Tim Holtz Seasonal paper, Game Spinners,  Sprocket Gears and Ranger Glossy accents.

Butterfly for You

I needed to make a card this morning.  I had rearranged and kinda prettied up my studio on Sunday and, in so doing, found a bunch of little bits of things I had made in the past and forgotten.

The flower on this card was something I had been playing with when I first got my Sizzix.  I wanted to see what it would cut so I cut paper toweling, sheer fabric, grunge paper and the usual  scrapbooking papers with my new Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die. This flower was the result of layers of sheer, sparkly fabric and patterned paper towels!
