Different At A New Level…

Well, does this look a little familiar?  I suppose this should be titled “Chewing Through Leather Part II”.

You have seen this before.  I do a card.  I’m happy with it.  I put it on line.  My mind starts fiddling with it and changing it as soon as I see it on the screen.  I liked the first one.  I like the second one.  What’s a girl to do? Continue reading

And Now For Something Completely Different!!

O.K.  I said completely different, didn’t I?  It is getting on towards Halloween but the truth is that I just loved the little statement and decided to do a parody of the more serious or mushy cards.  This was fun!!  I just had the right Tim Holtz stamps to add with the freebie stamp I got from Viva Las Vegas Stamps (see the blinkie at the bottom).

This card is dedicated to my friend, Pat, (you know who you are and why!).  At the same time, we have the perfect nutcase to give this to when his BDay rolls around.  I got the best reaction from my hubby on this card than anything I have ever made!!  Men…  makes sense, right?   Continue reading

Let The Sunshine In

When I originally took a photo of this card, it was a grey day outside and I had to use my special indoor lighting and work with the photo in the computer to get a reasonably good photo of my project for my post.

Today was a gorgeous, sunny day and I decided to take another shot of that card just for the sake of comparison.  When it came out the way it did, I decided this was something to share.

This photo is straight out of the camera; no tweaking whatsoever.   I was surprised but I don’t know that much about photography.

IT IS BALLOOOON!!!

I have had an itch for awhile to do some of the more funky stuff.  I’m headed toward Steampunk but I couldn’t quite work up to the darker motifs when my eyes headed right for my balloon stamp.  That seemed like it should be a little more playful and even bring in a sort of circus element. Tea Time – TSTR#74

This week’s challenge photo was so delightful, I tried to be very literal about my take on it.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work and I had to keep removing things ’til I got to the card you see here amongst the basil in my little garden.   Continue reading

Summer Yummies at the Play Date Cafe – PDCC93

I ordered something from a vendor on Ebay or Etsy and they stuck a few mulberry flowers in the packet as a little “Thank You” (I always love those little surprises!).  There was one flower that was the exact right color…  serendipity and card making once again! Here is the image we were given for inspiration:

Color to Warm the Heart – MOJO202

Don’t you just love these luscious colors?  I have had that piece of paper with the flowers for months and loved it so much that I simply couldn’t cover it up.  So, I left my circle element open for all the world to see the Sweet Peas. Continue reading

Shabby Chic Just For You – TSTR73

I created this card using papers from Graphic 45’s Once Upon A Springtime and Recollections cardstock.  My Cheery Lynn die was altered to fit the design layout.  Now I have all sorts of lacy bits left for another project! Continue reading

Best Wishes Mojo Monday – MOJO202

Here is my entry for Mojo Monday this week.  My dear friend, Joyce Roth, was visiting with me and we collaborated on this card. I told her not to be surprised if it looked different when she saw it on line because the camera always has a point or two to make that I missed.  We had great fun!!
