Valentine in Blue

2017class-valentine

I designed this card for our class to make today.  A slightly less fussy style of Valentine.

Personally, I had a great time at class today. They actually brought a cake for my birthday! And what’s not to love about chocolate?  And chocolate covered strawberries? Like I said… a great time!

Our real task today was to work with embossing.  The two heart shapes were cut out with a small Tim Holtz die. A background stamp was used to make the lines across the hearts which were embossed with gold, heated and set, then completely covered in clear embossing powder, heated and set again.  The sentiment piece was embossed with gold. Lots and lots of embossing going on…

Next week we will all be getting together at my house for our Class Make-Up day.

Charlotte, my dear, you are living a dream….using your classy creativity to bring beauty into your world and the world of others, doing so in your welcoming environment, expressing yourself with completed art pieces as well as your mastery of oral expression and accomplishing it all with ladies who are equally passionate about what you are bringing to their lives AND about YOU! I am so pleased that you have friends who appreciate you- the YOU I am awed to say I’ve known for more than 50 years!

I really like your take on a Valentine card. The colour scheme is fabulous, and the hearts look great.
