I have had the most beautiful die for months and never managed to use it. Today just had to be the day for the die cut to go on a card. I love really intricate and finely detailed dies but they can be a problem where glue is concerned so, sometimes, I just opt for something not quite so labor intensive
I saw a tutorial recently that gave me the answer to the problem and I started thinking about all the finely detailed dies I have, how I hardly ever use them and how I wanted to use them. So, here it is for you to see.
I like to keep some of my cards free of sentiments. A heart can say so many things… why limit oneself when it comes to a loving gesture?
There are two challenges today that helped define this card. The Ribbon Carousel Blog (http://blog.ribboncarousel.com) which required that one use a metal object on the card and The Play Date Cafe (theplaydatecafe.blogspot.com) which designates a color palette to follow. This week it was black and white with a touch of marine blue.
Supplies used were papers from The Paper Company and Shabby Chic (Michael’s Dollar Bin Pack); ribbon, string and charms from Hobby Lobby; the La Rue Heart Die from Memory Box. Glue, glue eraser, foam dimensionals, crystal topped pins, my Xeron machine and my Fiskars paper-cutter were used as well.
So, let me hear from you! I love it when you comment on my creations and I appreciate your attention and support. Blessings and Hugs, Ya’ll…!
I’m fascinated by the 3D-ness of it.
Thank you! Missed you this week… Anyway, this is just a little trick of the trade I would be happy to demonstrate next time I see you.
Since I know nothing at all related to the art of card creation, couldn’t differentiate a die from a??????, I respond strictly by what your cards immediately say TO me and this one, especially in juxtaposition to the beautiful silhouettes of you and Doug, says LOVE.
You are such a romantic! I will take all of that as a compliment! Thank you.
What a beautiful, romantic creation! LOVE all the scroll work! Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at The Play Date Cafe!
Cool card!
